BOOST Christmas Party

After church at EG Montilla, we rushed back to the BOOST for the BOOST Christmas Party, headed up by Bong's older brother-Pastor Renel and his beautiful wife Ate´ Lang-Lang..both of which I worked with last year in Butuan before their wedding this last Spring.

We arrived just after 6pm (and wonders of wonders, under Pastor Renel's expert care, the cantata started on the dot of 6pm!!) ;p, rushed up to change clothes and freshen up, then stopped by the kitchen where a bunch of the singles were preparing (assembly line order) 250+ meal boxes for the gathering, containing Rice, Baboy (pork), manok (chicken), & venison. Buko Salad, Sago Salad, Fresh Pineapple, Icecream and Coke were also provided.
Dishing up the chicken, rice, and venison.. (One of the NT Translators from last year--Belle {in pink} was there, and it was good to see her again)
My job was to put foil around the chicken bones for 'handles'..they call them 'Lollipops' here.
Dishing up the Baboy and including utensils
Cutting up the Lechon Baboy and pineapple
After watching the cantata for a while (which was beautiful, sweet, and very Filipino), I went back to the kitchen and helped finish up dishing up the meal boxes, which we ended up not having enough meat/meal boxes for everyone... Some of the Subait people came for it, and it was fun to see them again.

I love the way Joseph is leaning over in awed rapture over his baby...it warmed my heart..
The shepherds and angels (Ate LangLang is 3rd from Front Left..about 8 months pregnant) Sooo cute!
A glimpse at the real baby!! :) (with the wisemen in the background)
Kuya Renel..our sound man and pastor...directing the whole thing
I thought this was brilliant...for the participants of the cantata (including kids) who didn't remember the words, they were projected at the back for them to see, without being a distraction to the audience!!
What a beautiful night, and reminder of what Christmas really is about!! The birth of Christ..the continuation of God's promise of redemption!!
