Thus, my blog name was chosen after my midwifery passion -- wanting it to be easy to remember, & not too complicated...
Unfortunately, my "ideal names" (ie. something to do with midwifery---my calling; and Hope---my lifelong favorite word & adopted middle name) were all taken...so creativity was called on.
When Google Translate, which usually gives me great ideas, failed, I asked God, "What should I name it? I can't find anything that seems appropriate!!" and He prompted me to look on BLB's Greek & Hebrew Lexicon Concordance.
There I found Shiphrah, meaning beauty & grace (from Exodus 1) and Batach, meaning to trust, hope, etc.
